Tyne Bridge

The Tyne Bridge has joined Newcastle with Gateshead since 1928 and is an icon of the North East of England. The main span of the bridge is a steel arch, which takes the form of a lattice framework. It weighs over 7000 tonnes and spans nearly 400 metres. It is almost always painted green.

No real secret Mal. I actually know very little about photography. I just run out when it’s sunny with my Fuji A202 and take loads of snaps. The only twiddling I do to the camera is turning the flash on or off - the camera sorts the rest out. The only fault I have with the camera is that images don’t print out great, but then it’s only 2 megapixel.

God, I wish my camera (a Canon Powershot S110) were that good out of the box. The previews I get on the LCD screen look great, but when you download the pics, they’re really dull and lifeless. Just need to keep trying, I guess. And on sunny days. ;)
when i see this....i know i am home.
you just made me very homesick but you also made my day.
beautiful shot.

At first I thought it was Sydney Harbour Bridge. But that one is probably still bigger...
Great pictures and even better site.
Another excellent photo. :) What’s the key to taking suhc good pictures with a digital camera? I don’t mean the composition, I mean the contrast, colour balance, and saturation. Do you twiddle much with the settings, or have you just got an awesome camera?
